We forget that at the time someone is desiring to recognize our tone, our mood,and that there is more spontaneity in speech. Texting in all its forms gives us the opportunity to express ourselves and not necessarily listen -until we are ready- to the other person’s response. How impersonal. Yet the record of our communication is particularly helpful for unequivocal responding no matter how late and reminds each of us of what we “said”.
